Katya’s passion for telling stories across mediums inspires her immersive worlds, ripe for engagement and exploration. Katya is a performer, director, producer and writer who believes in challenging traditional storytelling formats by exploring the intersection of theater, film, movement, music, design and dance. Katya earned her BFA from Carnegie Mellon University, is an Andrew Carnegie Scholar, and is a former co-founder of In The Basement Theater Co. She has performed in regional theaters across the United States, as well as off-broadway. Katya produces immersive games at The Go Game, teaches yoga at Y7 and freelances as a producer, speaker and educator. She shares her writing and more on This Open Book Podcast, available on Anchor.fm and Spotify.
Jesse Carrey-Beaver is a choreographer and performer with a love for designing unique and personal experiences that deepen the audience’s sense of empathy. He has performed at and
designed experiences for You Are So Lucky as well as In the Basement Theater Company, which premiered its immersive show The Lady in Red Converses with Diablo at Arts@Renaissance, where Third Rail’s Then She Fell began. Jesse has also performed in musicals both Off-Broadway and on Broadway tours, including Attack of the Elvis Impersonators, Dirty Dancing, and originating the role of Jim Young in the world premiere musical The Gift of the Magi. He hopes to innovate musical theater into new mediums that can engage audiences in new and unexpected ways that exceed the boundaries of tradition. Jesse graduated from Carnegie Mellon with a degree in Musical Theater.
